GAP provides specialised risk management and corporate governance support to National Society blood programs and the IFRC. We do this through regular exchanges of advice and information, country and regional training programs and disaster relief projects.

GAP is recognised as a trusted and credible support partner, providing customised and timely advice, expertise and resources to help strengthen Red Cross and Red Crescent blood programs.
We develop and provide tools, guidelines and training materials to assist National Societies in ensuring their blood programs are safe and sustainable.
We harness the unique skills, capabilities and resources of both GAP members and our partners to achieve the best outcomes for blood safety and program sustainability worldwide.
We work with National Society blood services and partners to help rebuild blood programs impacted by disasters; this includes short-term assistance, as well as longer term recovery and sustainability.
